Groups of Regions and responsibilities
The Neobyzantine Movement is divided into these Groups of Regions
with their respective responsibilities and activities:
- Group 1 : Regions and states under direct Byzantine
or dominantly Orthodox influence during history or at the moment.
- Group 2 : this Group is consisted of Regions and States
that are ether bordering the Group 1 Regions or have significant
Orthodox population or were under significant Byzantine influence
during the history. Here are also included territories under occupation
by hostile countries.
- Group 3 : Regions and states overseas, with no significant
Byzantine or Orthodox influence at the moment or in the history,
(but with Byzantines who have either migrated or do live in those
states).
Responsibilities and activities
Each of these three Groups have certain responsibilities and activities,
depending on the specific Group, the membership structure type and
the size. Each of these Groups have the same status in the matter
of Rank among the Movement Hierarchy. By default, here are the main
responsibilities and the status of each Group:
Group 1
Consisted of Local and Regional Chapters with full organisational
structure as described in the Status of the Movement.
These Regions are grouped by Divisions (by language and nation).
The major activity is in gaining the
political strong whole in Member States (and in gaining the political
power if possible), promotion of Unionist Idea, strong co-operation
among Regional Chapters, and coordination of activities with other
two Groups. Chapters from these Regions are responsible in a training,
education, special meetings and planning with Group 2 Chapters.
These Regions and States are: Armenia,
Bulgaria, Cyprus, Georgia, (FYR) Macedonia, Moldova, Montenegro,
Romania, Russia, Republika Srpska, Serbia.
Steering member states: Ethiopia, Kazakhstan, Lebanon.
Group 2
Preferably organised as Local and Regional Chapters with complete
organisational structure (as described in the Status of the Movement),
or
These Regions are grouped by Divisions (by language and nation).
The major activity is in gaining the
political strong whole in Member States, promotion of Unionist Idea,
strong co-operation among Regional Chapters, and coordination of
activities with other two Groups.
Regions and States of this Region Group are:
Albania (North - region of Skadar), Albania
(South - Northern Epirus region), Azerbaijan,
Bosnia and Hertzegovina (Federation of),
Croatia, Egypt, Estonia, Kyrgisztan, Iraq, Italy (Southern
Italy and Sicily), Jordan, Latvia, Letonia, Little Asian
Provinces (Ionia, Constantinople, Eastern Armenia,
Pontus, ), Suomi (Finland), Magyarszag (Hungary), Palestine,
Republika Srpska Krajina (Croatia), Syria,
Uzbekistan, Tajikistan.
Group 3
Consisted of individuals conducted by Special Commissioners (as
described in the Statute of the Movement)
of the Movement whose responsibilities are co-ordination of activities
of the members in their zone of responsibilities (i.e., particular
Regions and cities); If possible, the structure of the Movement
would be a form Local and Regional Chapters with full organisational
structure as described in the Status of the Movement.
These Regions are grouped by Divisions (by language or nation).
The major activity is promoting the
Unionist idea and spreading of membership, as well as cooperation
among emigration and members in the respective Region. Members of
this Region are encouraged to make strong connections among themselves,
to organise frequent meetings and social activities - in order to
form strong organisation body.
Some additional activities would be collecting of aid, donations,
and humanitarian activities to help other members or people.
Special Commissioners would conduct semi-diplomatic missions with
the officials of the respective Region, state, or the city.
Regions and States of this Region Group
are all the other states, countries or Regions not included in the
previous two Groups.
